Another one bites the dust!

Another week that is...arrived at 30 weeks yesterday, wow!  It seems like some of the time, mainly the very beginning and the middle) of pregnancy has gone by so slowly but now it seems to be speeding up again.  Five of the eight weekends we have left before Kylie's scheduled arrival are filled with showers and baby classes so I'm sure the rest of it will fly by without much effort at all.

Feeling good this week and didn't have any more low abdominal pains like I had last week.  She is starting to have bigger movements and feels a little like a 3 lb trout swimming about *lol* My next OB appt is this Thursday so I might see if she thinks an u/s is indicated based on these pains.  It's just cruel to expect an IVF girl to go from 20 weeks on without an u/s ;-)

Yesterday I went to buy a pair of pants since most of the ones I wore in 2T are now feeling a little constricting.  Hopefully the pair I found will last me the rest of pregnancy.  I also got two nursing tops which I hope will come in handy.

I've been going in Kylie's room now and then dreaming about what it will be like when she's in it.  Here's a 30 week picture of me with her crib.

It's hard to imagine it still!

Into single digits...

Happy Sunday girls!  We are now fully back into the routine after vacation and ready to head back ;-)  My DH allowed as how one week here and one week in Cozumel would be the perfect set-up.  I completely agree and plan to buy a lotto ticket this week, wish us luck!

On Thursday I got a beautiful set of gifts in the mail from my EC board buddy, she made two taggies, four burp clothes and six pairs of hair clips.  Makes me wish I had a crafty bone in my body...here are the goodies:

Amazing huh?!?!

Thursday afternoon we went to the OB and everything looks just as it's suppose to.  She told me that in addition to the 2 iron supplements a day I'm to eat all the red meat I can find since my iron is really low.  I knew I was craving cheeseburgers for a reason and now I have an excuse to eat them =)  Thursday and Saturday evening I got huge cramp sessions that lasted about 5 minutes each...really painful.  Not sure if they were Braxton Hicks or not but I plan to call on Monday and ask.  I now move to OB appts every 2 weeks and Friday marked the 10 week point...so now I'm in single digit weeks...crazy!!!

Today has been a fun day, we took my niece up to Estes Park for lunch and a little shopping.  It was her b-day present for her 15th b-day.  Here are a couple pics from our day:

We also got in the mail a pack'n play with a newborn napper from my MIL and FIL as our early shower gift.  Today we put it together and all I can say is I don't think we'll be taking it on trips and setting up all the various pieces.  It took us about an hour and has so many pieces that I think the "travel case" is too small and would be like trying to get a tent in it's "original" case.  Here's a pic:

Not much on tap for this next week.  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!!

Hola!

We have returned from our fantastic vacation in Cozumel!  It was very relaxing and we didn't get up to a whole lot...mainly sleeping in and relaxing on our balcony or by the ocean/pool during the day and then heading out at night for a good dinner and to walk around the downtown area.

My husband was very motivated and went for runs every other morning and also snorkeled a couple hours a day.  I myself snorkeled one day for about an hour but other than that couldn't tear myself away from our balcony, my book or my lounge chair =)  As promised here's my 28 week photo in a bikini...eek.

All I can say is that the warm tropical breeze is exactly what this Colorado girl needed!  Kylie didn't seem to mind the trip at all, thankfully.  My husband did allow that if we had her there she might be able to get dual citizenship and be the first Olympic skier from Mexico *ha*

Our anniversary was the 14th and here's a picture of us out at dinner...you can't really see it but a beautiful waterfall fountain is behind us.

And just so you can get the full feel of how hard it was to get my lazy butt off the balcony of our room (only to go to the lounge chair by the beach/pool BTW), here's a couple pictures of the view:

We arrived home last night and are back to the work routine today.  Thursday is my 28 week appointment and after that we move to the every 2 week appointments.  Our c-section is scheduled 10 weeks from Friday...it's coming fast now it seems =)

Last post before vacay =)

Hey girlies!  Hope you're all having a good week =)  This week is flying by and before I head out on vacation Thursday I wanted to get an update out.

My puppy is all recovered from his vet appt last Friday, poor little guy.  He was absolutely pitiful on Friday night but was pretty much back to normal this weekend.  I have to say I'd be pitiful for much longer if I got two teeth pulled!  Thanks for all your nice messages for the little guy =)

The doc finally called back today and I passed my gestational diabetes test I took last Thursday *WOOT-WOOT* My level was 88 and thankfully well below the 140 limit.  The not so good news is that my iron is still low despite taking an iron supplement since I was 10w.  They asked me to move to taking it twice a day.  Hopefully that will do the trick.

Yesterday I found an awesome deal on this travel system, $100 =)

Have to love craigslist!

I just realized I forgot to post my 27 week photo this past weekend, so here my belly is in all its glory.  Our 28 week photo will be taken next weekend in Cozumel...a bikini pic, oh my!  We'll see if it's worth publishing ;-)  Hope all you girls have a wonderful week, I'll be back in touch next week!

Whew....

Thanks for all your good thoughts, our little pooch is ok =)  He is resting comfortably on fluids for the afternoon and I'll pick him up in a couple hours.  Thank goodness!!!  He did have to get two teeth pulled, poor guy.  He's only 4.5 years old but Chihuahua's are known for really poor teeth.  I'm going to try some new chews that are supposed to help.

No word on the results from the blood work yet.  I called but the front desk person asked if I got a phone call telling me the results were in...when I said no she sounded annoyed.  It seems that an RE is use to this and OBs are not.  Emma...how in the world were you lucky enough to get to eat a banana and drink OJ instead of that horrid glucose drink?!?!

Twelve weeks from today is the scheduled c-section...wow!

Nervous....

Today my little Chihuahua Paco is at the vet for a dental cleaning.  I use to not be so worried about these "routine" things until a friend at work lost his Pug last year at a dental cleaning.  The vet called this morning to let me know he'd be put under soon and I'm now waiting for the, "he woke up call".  Keep your fingers crossed...here's a picture of my little one.

BTW, if I'm like this about my Chihuahua how am I going to survive motherhood?!?!

Oh, that reminds me.  I took my gestational diabetes test yesterday and am awaiting the results.  Fingers crossed that I don't have to drink any more of that yucky stuff for a 3 hr test!!!
