One year ago today...

We transferred our very last embryo one year ago and today he is my happy healthy little Kermit the frog =)

I've been finding myself almost in tears when I go to bed at night feeling so very lucky to have these two little miracles in my life.  Here's our little fairy showing off her treats to her frog brother *LOL*

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Picking Veggies & 3 Months Old

Wednesday K had a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  She got to pick lots of veggies along with a pumpkin that we are going to "decorate" this weekend.  She wants to paint it...kind of unconventional but I like the idea of her with a paint brush rather than a knife so we'll roll with it.  I need to figure out how to cook the rutabaga and kohlrabi she picked but have a firm grasp on what to do with the other yummies (corn, kale, carrots, potatoes, onions & cabbage).  She's pretty proud of her spoils:

C turned 3 months old on Wednesday.  He is growing great still and is 17.5 lbs (98th%) and 25" (83rd%).  Laughing is one of his favorite things to do, in fact the ladies who care for him at daycare say it's pretty rare for someone his age to laugh as much as he does.  He'll only do it if you laugh back and forth with him.  Totally adorable!  He's starting to reach out and hold the toys on his play mat.  Every once in a while they make it to his mouth.  No rolling yet but we're trying to get him tummy time every evening.  I would say that 1/2 the nights he sleeps 7-8 hours in a shot and 1/2 the nights he wakes up for one feeding.  Overall he's one of the happiest babies I've ever been around =)  Happy 3 months little man!

By last Friday, the end of C's first week at daycare, we were all sick...all four of us.  It's a normal sneezing, coughing, annoying type of cold but doesn't have any fevers or anything.  We've all kept our normal work/school routines through it because if K's 1st year was any barometer and we stay home for every little sniffle this fall/winter we'll never leave the house ;-)  So this weekend we'll go to K's 2nd gymnastics class (she LOVED her first) and another pumpkin patch with friends.

Back at Work *yawn*

This is my first week back at work.  Monday night was rough and I only got 4 hours of sleep so yesterday was TOUGH.  But last night I got 7 straight hours so I'm feeling like a human again...the shower this morning didn't hurt either ;-)  Work is crazy with being out for 12 weeks and the girl who covered for me didn't do a stellar job...but hey, job security right?  I'm getting into the office by 8:30 which feels super successful, not sure how I get that to be a little earlier (I'd like to be here by 8) but I'm already getting up at 6 and can't bring myself to get up much earlier.

C turned 12 weeks old yesterday and is adjusting to being in daycare.  There is so much going on there during the day that the napping schedule he had at home is changing...every day.  I'm finding it easier to go with the flow than I did when K was this age.  So far it's working out for me to take my lunch break to go nurse him, then they give him one bottle during the day and I nurse him when I pick him up.  That means I only have to pump once during the day which is nice.  It's so hard to leave my cuddly little man at daycare...I try to remember that it gets easier and he'll be friends with these little ones for a long time to come.  Sigh.  It's an adjustment for all of us.

K loves, loves, loves having her little brother at school with her.  She had a rough patch with sleep since last Thursday where she's been waking up in the middle of the night and having trouble going back to sleep.  Coincidentally she's also had canker sores.  Has anyone noticed sleeplessness with canker sores in their little ones?  My only other guesses are a growth spurt, excitement about her little brother now being in the room next to her or some sort of mild virus that passed without other symptoms.  In any case I hope last night broke the streak and she's now back to her good sleep status.

Not much else to update on...hopefully we'll hit some pumpkin patches soon and I'll have some nice fall photos to share.  In the mean time here's what I wish I was doing instead of being at work.

Holding my "little" guy - this was after his first day at daycare and he was zonked!
