Part I - Friday K had an egg hunt at school. Each parent was suppose to bring in 12 eggs full of something without peanuts (allergies). On the way home she was telling me all about the "sneaky, sneaky Easter bunny" and was busy picking out which egg in her bucket full of goodies she would open. Here she is making the final call:
Part II - Saturday morning we went to a local egg hunt for 1 & 2 year olds. They could get free pics with the Easter bunny before the hunt but there was NO way she wanted to go near him. Instead we sat by this tree and watched:
They spread snacks out in a really little area:
And it was pretty crowded during the hunt:
But she got another bucket of goodies and was happy:
After her nap that afternoon we dyed eggs. Luckily we decided to do it in the driveway so we didn't care how much dye spilled. It also let us play in the yard while letting the eggs sit in the dye because honestly, who has patience for that? Not a almost 3 year old, I can tell you that =)
Part III - Sunday we hosted brunch for 11 (my parents, my brother and his girls, my in-laws and BIL). It was a busy morning but so fun. K got four Easter baskets in all and was loving it. After brunch we had a hunt for her in the front yard. She's the only little one in our family (cousins are much older) so she was the center of attention.
I was her designated basket holder.
When we got inside she helped sort the dyed eggs out so they could go back in the refrigerator and got to pick out one of the plastic eggs to open.
After the hunt she wanted to change out of her dress and we played in the front blowing bubbles until nap time.
Whew, now that the photo bomb is over...we hope you all had a wonderful Easter! And all I can say is today should be a day off work for recovery =)
