Last week of 2T!

We can hardly believe that 3T is almost here! Kylie has been low in my abdomen this week and I haven't been feeling a lot of movement, only now and then each day. From what I've read it appears that daily predictable movement doesn't always happen until right around 30 weeks. We still have our weekly Saturday check-ins with the Doppler and her heartbeat is nice and strong!

We are getting exciting for our trip to Mexico on the 11th. I called the doc and got a permission to travel letter after I had a dream that we got stuck at the airport in Mexico and they wouldn't let me on the plane to come home...and then I started labor in the airport. Ahhh, preggo dreams *lol*

Anyway, here's the weekly pic...I had the first person point at my belly today so I'm officially looking pregnant instead of just fat =)

Another tick of the clock...

Today marks 25 weeks and it hit me yesterday that my c-section is scheduled 14 weeks from yesterday....wow, seems like it's really coming now =) This morning at our weekly doppler check in Kylie kicked hard enough to see my stomach jump...crazy cool!

Here's my belly pic, really starting to grow now it seems...

This weekend we're expecting another 6-10" of snow so it'll be spent pretty close to home. Hopefully we'll get motivated to sand down some dresser drawer fronts in preparation to repaint them and put the new knobs on. We'll see...movies and the Olympics might pull us away from that all too productive project!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend =)

OB appointment #5

These days appointments are a little boring...just the way I like them =) Today's was the normal weigh in, measure and listen. Kylie's heart beat was in the 150's and sounds perfect. I gained the 4 lbs I was suppose to but not anymore, 14 lbs total at this point. My blood pressure is 105/60 so no signs of any issues there. My gestational diabetes test was ordered and needs to be taken between Feb 27th and March 13th. They gave me the order, "yummy" glucose drink and instructions. Really looking forward to that;-)

Some of my questions I've come up with in the last three weeks were answered. It sounds like Kylie will be taken away after my c-section because of the cold temp in the surgery room. But I should get to re-join Kylie and Mike in recovery after I get stitched up, typically around 1/2 an hour. There I will be able to breast feed for the first time. I can bring music into the OR which I'm happy about.

My next three OB appointments are set up, until mid April, because they said Spring Break is a hard time with many of the doctors taking vacations. That almost takes us until we'll start weekly appts =) I honestly can't believe we don't even get the smallest peek at Kylie from now until delivery...my first practice at parental patience!

Ahhh, another week gone by...

Yesterday was the 24 week mark, hard to believe in two ways...it seems like forever since I had a margarita but it seems like yesterday I was still counting every temp and analyzing every symptom =) Here's the ever growing bump, my waist measurement went up 1.5" but my weight didn't change...odd!

Today for Valentine's MW woke me up with a great necklace that has a stone for each of us and one for Kylie in the branches of a tree, SOO pretty and sweet =) Then we went to brunch at our favorite place...completely worth the hour wait *YUM* Right now he's working on some projects in the nursery...what a lucky girl I am! Hope everyone in blog land had a wonderful day.

A good day =)

rst thing this morning at work I got a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my DH. It has red roses, white lilies, red carnations and while daisies. So pretty and so yummy smelling =) I called to thank him and he said he wanted me to enjoy them ahead of the holiday...am I lucky or what?!?!

Work went quickly and without incident and at the end of my day I found 18 Bum Genius diapers on craigslist for $135...and she's including a diaper pail and liner. Since these same 18 diapers would cost ~$325 new I'm super excited. I pick them up tomorrow.

Just wanted to share my excitement. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Thump....thump....

YIPPY!!!! Kylie has now officially kicked hard enough for me to know it's her and not just some other body function. The best part is that my husband got to feel it too =) That was Thursday night and now I can feel her be-bopping around in there a few times a day. Feels like air bubbles...but really cool ones! My belly is starting to grow a lot, which you can see for yourself in this weeks pic at 23weeks:

Now that I've shared the best part of my week I'll share the frustrating part too. My due date is 6/5 and they mentioned scheduling my c-section (needed because of a LAP surgery to remove fibroids in Dec of 08) at 39 weeks. That falls on 5/29 which is a Saturday and a day they don't schedule "elective" surgeries. It also happens to be memorial day weekend. They suggested the Tuesday after, which is 6/1. However if I do it on 5/28 at 38w6d I could have out of town family (namely my DH's folks) in over the weekend and I could use the holiday time off work as part of my leave (every little bit helps!). The doctor says that anything before 39 weeks requires an amnio the day before to make sure her lungs are developed and ready to go...really?!?! 24 hrs early requires an amnio? I think it's ridiculous but decided I would just schedule the amnio on 5/27 and the c/s and try to talk them out of it later. Of course if Kylie decides on her own to come earlier than 39 weeks I won't need it. Sometimes these "guidelines" just seem silly... The great new out of all of that though is that I have a date scheduled! Something my type-A brain loves =)
