K felt left out of the serious illness parade that C has been involved in so she decided to throw a little strep in the mix =( She came down with it a week ago and it was horrible. I have never had it but incorrectly thought it was just another virus - not so much. Monday we got her in to the doctor and started her on antibiotics and at bedtime her fever was 104.3 despite rotating ibuprofen and Tylenol. Tuesday she was back to about 70% and ate a little bit of food...like this Popsicle but you can tell by her droopy look and flushed cheeks she was still feeling pretty bad:
Wednesday she was well enough to return to school though and from then on she's been doing well. Amazing how fast antibiotics work on little ones! C seems to have escaped this bout, fingers crossed it stays that way. Here they are together celebrating her recovery =)
Poor girl! I can't imagine the worry you must have felt when her fever was so high. I'm glad she's better and that C dodged it!
