One month old?!?!

I can't believe it!  Kylie turned one month old yesterday =)  As you can see from this picture she's surprised too *lol*

Photobucket

We took tons of pictures so if you click on this picture it'll take you to our picasa album and you can look through the rest.  Turns out it's darn hard to get a one month old to pose =)  She is doing great, still eating like a champ and mostly happy.  We think she has some colic since she cries a lot from 6-11pm  Sometimes the crying sounds like she's in pain, which is so sad.  Tomorrow we take in her sample to be tested to see if I need to stop soy and/or go to the GI specialist.  Hopefully we get it figured out soon!  Today I will pump for the first time and M will feed her.  I know he's looking forward to it and I'm looking forward to him being part of our feeding routine.

I'm feeling better all the time but stamina is pretty low still.  Maybe it's because of the lack of sleep or it could just be normal healing, who knows.  I've got 8.5 lbs left to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight and am back in at least one pair of my regular jeans =)  My hips are still wider than they were before so I got an abdominal support from Babies R Us and we'll see if it helps shrink them.  For any of you ladies getting ready to have a baby I'd recommend this support, I wish I would have had it sooner.

In non-baby news I've been working from home for 10 hrs a week and they are over loading me.  I'm going in to the office today to have a talk with my boss about it.  Fun times...not!  M heads back to work next week *boo*  I wish we could just find someone who wants to pay us to be at home with Kylie but baring that we will find a way to get back into the routine.  M's aunt is coming to visit tomorrow and Friday and a co-worker of his is coming to meet Kylie on Saturday.  Then Sunday we'll probably have dinner at my folks for the 4th.  It's amazing how much life slows down when a little one arrives!

  1. Go Miss Kylie! One month already, yippy! What a cutie pie, she's gotten so big!

Definitely push back on that work stuff -- it always happens when you try to reduce hours, people still try to get the same amount of work out of you, I've been there!

  6. Wow... one month! How quickly the time flies by!! Shes adorable!! =) its SO easy to take so many pictures! I'm sorry about the colic... the good news is that it typically goes away by 3 months! Eirik didn;t have colic but he had "Fussy hour" which was from about 7 - 11 where all he did was nurse or fuss!

C-section recovery is HARD! At 4 weeks i still had almost no stamina... it wasn't until about 6 or so weeks I started feeling more "normal" and at about 8 weeks I went back to the gym. Even now at 13 weeks I still ache and am no where near "normal". It stinks!

Sorry about work... i know how you feel... i'd love someone to pay me to stay home!

  10. My one month pics of the babies were terrible. They refused to wake up for any of them. So sorry you are still having yummy problems. have they looked ar reflux? gas? Josh is still on Zantac twice a day and he gets a TB of Maalox every other feeding. That has helped a TON. Babies also have a fussy time in the evenings called the witching hour. Hope you guys get it worked out. shes adorable!
