Good news is that C is recovered from his bout with RSV, broncolitis and double ear infection =) So awesome to have his smiles back and say goodbye to the wheezing!
Bad news is that he now is having sleep issues. He has slept through the night since he was four weeks old and typically goes down at 10 and gets up at 7. Every once in a while (two to three times a week) he'll have a fuss or two but can usually be calmed in 5 minutes. Now for two nights in a row he's waking up SCREAMING about 1/2 an hour after going down. First night screaming lasted 10 minutes and then last night the screaming lasted and hour and a half. We tried baby orajel for the two top teeth that will be coming in any day, pain drops for his ears just in case they are still hurting, changing his diaper because he has a mild yeast rash from the antibiotics, taking off all his clothes to see if something was poking him, tried him in his swaddle, out of his swaddle, etc. and nothing worked and he just kept sounding like I'd stuck him with a hot poker. We finally put him in his car seat and I left with him headed for Children's Hospital. He was asleep before I got to the end of our road so I ended up taking a 15 minute drive, returning home and he slept through taking him out of his car seat, swaddling him and putting him in his crib. He awoke smiling at 6:45. Oh how I wish he could talk and tell us what in the world happened. He doesn't seem to be getting sick or anything so we are clueless. Thankfully K slept through the whole thing.
I'm running on 5 hours of sleep today and hope, hope, hope things are better tonight! I looked back at my blog posts from when K was his age...guess what? Sleep problems that lasted 2 weeks at the very same age. Crazy. I hope this is not the start of a two week ordeal! Ah well, at least they are still adorable.
C starting to feed himself - he dislikes purees but loves small bites of corn, peas, avocado and ham so far
K has declared that her hair is "very long" and needs lots of barrettes
