The antibiotics are working their magic and we are now blissfully back to the land of sleeping normally =) K is still stuffy but she is improving each day. Hopefully by the weekend she's back to 100%. One of the hardest things as a family who has two working parents is to deal with the guilt we have over taking a sick (but not too sick?) little one to daycare. Yesterday I went to nurse her on my lunch break and she was having the time of her life...dancing with her friends and going down the slide over and over. It's times like that that calm the guilt and make me feel like she is much happier being distracted from her cold. I am really so very thankful that we've found a daycare that has people (both teachers and kids) she enjoys so much. She is always excited to go and that takes a very heavy weight off!
Anyway, I'm going to try to tell the story of the last week or so in pictures:
K riding her worm around the house last week, such a happy little girl!
In the car on the drive up to Estes Park for our anniversary on 3/14 to stay at the Stanley Hotel (no ghosts were spotted!). She has decided her sunglasses are pretty cool. When she wants them on she says, "mama no bright". She learned months ago that the sun is bright and she looks horrified when it shines on her face in the car.
An attempt at a family picture at the Stanley - one of these days she'll look at the camera and smile again, right?
K's favorite part of the Stanley - climbing all the stairs! She was smiling and giggling but as soon as she sees the camera these days she gets the serious face. Love the dots and stripes together ;-)
The Stanley, for those who aren't from CO, is a beautiful old hotel in the mountains. It was a treat to stay there for our anniversary. We found an amazing deal on Groupon and couldn't resist. K did really well sleeping in a hotel for the first time too =) She looks HUGE in her pack n play though. I hope she can still sleep in it for our trip to AZ in May *fingers crossed*
K helping M brew some beer. She took her pool float, that we use in the hot tub, in to sit in while she "helped".
Helping me talk on the her phone (one of my old ones) - she insists that my hair is in the way. I love the look of concentration on her face =)
That's pretty much our week!
